This section refers to the measurement of road surface friction properties. The Skid Tester, also known as British Pendulum, can be used to evaluate the friction of laboratory specimens prepared by using Polished Stone Value (PSV) machine. It can also be used to measure the in-situ pavement friction properties. A range of accessories including several types of rubber sliders is also available.
